About Datavillage

At Datavillage, we are redefining the future of data collaboration. Our platform enables secure and compliant data and AI collaborations without compromising privacy. We empower organizations to unlock the potential of sensitive data while maintaining confidentiality, leveraging cutting-edge Privacy-Enhancing Technologies like Confidential Computing and a zero-copy data collaboration model. Our mission is to make secure data collaboration the standard across industries—from finance to healthcare, government, and beyond—helping businesses innovate and make data-driven decisions with unparalleled security and trust.

Opportunity

We’re looking for an exceptional Full-Stack Developer to drive the evolution of our privacy-first data collaboration solutions. You’ll be at the heart of bridging client expectations with product feature development, ensuring our platform remains at the forefront of balancing technology, security, and usability. If you're passionate about building solutions that reshape how sensitive data is used while addressing real-world challenges, this is your calling.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and Maintain Scalable Applications: Work on front-end applications built with TypeScript and React, and contribute to back-end services (ideally in Go, though we’re open to helping you ramp up if you have an interest in learning).

  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver user-friendly features and improvements in a timely manner.

  • Drive End-to-End Developmen: Own your tasks from initial specification to production deployment. You’ll write clean, maintainable code and ensure that everything runs smoothly and securely.

  • Implement Best Practices: Use Git, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines to streamline development. You’ll be expected to follow (and help improve) coding standards and architecture guidelines.

  • Integrate with Third-Party Services: Work with OIDC, APIs, and databases to deliver robust and secure features. You’ll handle both front-end and back-end integrations.

  • Contribute to a Remote-First Culture: Collaborate asynchronously via Slack, document your work clearly, and attend virtual stand-ups or sprints. We trust you to get your work done without constant oversight (it’s 99% a remote working culture).

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 2+ years of professional software development experience.

  • Front-End Proficiency: Strong skills in React and TypeScript (required).

  • Back-End Fundamentals: Experience in Go is a big plus, but not required. You should still be comfortable with server-side development in any language.

  • Dev Essentials: Familiarity with Git and GitHub for version control, experience with databases (SQL or NoSQL), and knowledge of basic authentication methods like OIDC.

  • Remote Work Skills: Ability to work independently in a sometimes asynchronous environment—strong written communication and self-management are key.

  • Problem-Solving Mindset: You’re able to break down tasks, ask the right questions (or research answers), and drive features from idea to deployment.

  • Team Spirit: You should be open to feedback, eager to learn, and willing to help your teammates succeed.

Why Join Us

  • Cutting-Edge Projects: You’ll have the chance to work on exciting new products and features that make a real impact.

  • Collaborative Culture: We foster a supportive environment where your ideas matter.

  • Flexible Work Arrangement: We are remote-first, so you can work from anywhere that suits you best (some travelling may be required from time to time).

  • Competitive Compensation: We offer a salary and benefits package commensurate with your experience.

  • Growth Opportunities: Access to continuous learning resources, mentorship, and opportunities to take on more responsibilities.
